1969 Mercedes-Benz 250 CE Coupé – Australian Delivered – White over GreenAustralian delivered, with service history dating back to 1969, period books and a documented engine overhaul.
Finished in white over a distinctive green interior, this 250 CE brings together the details that make an early Mercedes coupé so appealing: a low roofline, frameless side windows, generous glass and beautifully restrained chrome trim.
Body-coloured hubcaps and chrome wheel surrounds complete the exterior, while the cabin combines green upholstery and matching door trims with a wood-veneered dashboard, VDO instruments and the characteristic thin-rim steering wheel.
Australian delivery and the accompanying records add to this example’s appeal. Its service book contains entries dating back to 1969, including stamps from Co-operative Motors in Hobart, alongside later specialist servicing and maintenance invoices.
In May 2015, Intermarque Automotive completed an extensive engine overhaul, documented by an invoice totalling $14,020.50. Recorded work included:
- Replacement piston assemblies, main bearings and connecting-rod bearings.
- Cylinder-head reconditioning, including valve-guide and valve work.
- Crankshaft balancing and associated machining.
- Replacement timing chain and guides.
