1970 Mercedes-Benz 250CE Coupe | Australian Delivered | Lindsay Fox Provenance | Restored MB Specialist-Owned ExampleA beautifully restored Australian-delivered Mercedes-Benz 250CE Coupe with excellent provenance, strong documentation and a very high level of mechanical sorting.
The original log books record the first purchaser as Lindsay Fox / the Lindsay Fox family, with the car delivered new in Melbourne through Lanes Motors.
Factory specified with a 4-speed automatic transmission, electric sunroof, air conditioning, Bundt wheels and black MB-Tex interior.
Prior to restoration, the car was described as a very sound, rust-free and damage-free base, making it an ideal candidate for the level of work that has since been carried out.
The current owner is a Mercedes-Benz specialist, and the car has been restored and maintained with a clear focus on originality, usability and correct Mercedes-Benz presentation.

The car has been used sparingly since restoration, but importantly it has not simply sat unused. It recently completed a 450 km Sydney to Batemans Bay trip over two days without issue and is described by the owner as comfortable and enjoyable in both city and open-road driving.
This is a very well-sorted, highly usable classic Mercedes-Benz coupe with genuine provenance, desirable factory options, extensive restoration work and Mercedes-Benz specialist ownership.
The build cost is understood to far exceed the asking price.
Odometer note: the odometer currently displays 13,819 km. Due to the age of the vehicle and odometer rollover, total kilometres are not warranted. The vehicle should be assessed on condition, documentation, restoration quality and inspection.
Inspection is strictly by appointment, Interstate buyers are welcome.
